Kickass Women’s DayLibrary Allard is hosting its third annual Kickass Women’s Day on Saturday, April 21st, 2018 from 10 am to 3 pm in École Powerview School gymnasium and multipurpose room.

For those of you who have never attended or are unsure of what Kickass Women’s Day involves let’s break it down for you.  It is an opportunity to gather a large variety of services and products that can provide information and relaxation in our everyday stressful lives.  It is important that you keep yourself healthy to be able to accomplish what you desire.  Our desire is to help you feel like a Queen for the Day!

You have the opportunity to take part in the variety of spa sessions that are available in the multipurpose room; pre-sign-up sheets are available at the library now.  Don’t miss the chance to have a mini back massage, an aromatherapy session, foot care assessment, foot reflexology, nail care treatment or hair styling sitting.  Another representative will be in the main gymnasium area providing mini makeovers.  These spa treatments are being offered free, there will be gratuity jars for you to offer your appreciation!

Multiple health agencies will be there to assist you from blood sugar and blood pressure testing, Cancer Care services, Addictions Foundation, Schizophrenia Society, Anxiety Disorders and more.  Community booths of Wings of Power and Edgewater Recreation will be there to provide information about their services.

There will be a multitude of vendors for you to purchase items from, don’t forget Mother’s Day is just around the corner.

Get your first opportunity to purchase small pots of flowers, take in the book sale and support the library’s Walk/Run for Literacy event!

The school canteen will be open and serving delicious healthy meal options.  While entry to the event is FREE, you will want to bring your wallet – purchase fantastic items from the vendors, buy flowers, silent auction tickets, etc., leave gratuities for the spa sessions and enjoy lunch.  Come and stay for the day is our hope for you, you won’t want to miss a thing!
